Brightening up our villages

A partnership between Belhelvie Community Council, Aberdeenshire Council and a a local business promises to brighten up the entrances to Balmedie, Potterton, Belhelvie, Whitecairns and Blackdog.

All offers to help - espcially if youa re willing to adopt a tub on an ongoing basis is appreciated.  Contact Shuna - secretary@belhelvie.org.uk

Following an offer of free bedding plants from Aberdeenshire Council and a small grant to help with set-up costs, Belhelvie Community Council purchased eight large half barrels.  Mr Milne at the Balmedie Mushroom Farm provided compost to fill the containers which have now been planted with the bedding plants grown by Aberdeenshire Council at Aden Country Park and placed at the village entrances.

Community Council Secretary Shuna Jenkins said, "The Community Council were delighted to help make our villages look more attractive."
